our specialty is fly fishing, there are plenty of other options

you like. Horseback Riding
What family ranch
vacation would be complete without horseback riding? The experienced
wrangler at Canyon Ranch will be your guide to exploring the ranch on
horseback. The rides are always beautiful and can be planned for one
hour or several hours. The longer rides include lunch. All rides include
breathtaking scenery and fabulous photographic opportunities. We also
offer boarding services for those who choose to bring their own horse.
Family Fly Fishing Vacations
Fly Fishing is the
prominent summer activity at the ranch. At Canyon Ranch your

Little Goose Creek or the many ponds on the ranch not to mention the
incredible fly fishing opportunities available in the Bighorn Mountains.

abilities. We can also suggest hiking trips based on your level within
the Bighorn Mountains. Fantastic Wildlife Viewing
Viewing the
wildlife here is always a highlight of the guest ranch family vacations
at Canyon Ranch. There are many traditional western wildlife species
that inhabit the foothill setting of Canyon Ranch. White tail, mule deer
and antelope as well as the occasional moose, elk and mountain lion are
just a few of the big game animals that call Canyon Ranch home. The bird
and wildflower viewing is also second to none.
Sporting Clays
The exciting
sporting clay course is always a favorite guest ranch family vacation
activity. We offer three courses to choose from or you may choose to
simply shoot the stations you like or wish to practice. Lessons and
rentals guns are available (additional charges may apply).
Indoor and Outdoor Games
Our outdoor games
include a horseshoe pit and badminton net. Indoors we have several games
and videos as well as a small library with many favorites.
Area Attractions
During your stay
here you may choose to leave the ranch and explore the surrounding area.
The Sheridan and Johnson County area are rich in history and offer many
historical and recreational activities. There is a nearby polo club and
a championship golf course. The Sheridan WYO Rodeo takes place in mid
July and is jam packed with non stop activities and three PCA
performances. The Sheridan County rodeo takes place in August and
